Last week saw the Kepak Group kick off their Food Safety Week across 13 sites in Ireland and the UK. QPM LTD were delighted to be asked to be a part of this important event. Both myself and Garreth Nevin attended Kepak in Ballymahon, County Longford to give a presentation on inspection equipment and in particular on the Loma Systems Metal Detectors that they have on site supplied by QPM LTD.
We also discussed x-ray inspection and the importance of why they have metal detectors on their production line, the importance and the roll they play to ensure that none of their product leaves the factory with any metal contamination.
These systems are taken for granted and to most people they would not have even know that such systems are in place in all types of food production. This is why you don’t find any metal or other foreign body contaminants at home in your dinner thanks to companies like Kepak Group taking their Food Safety very seriously with investment in such systems.
We had a bit of fun on the day and had some amazing hampers from Basketcase Bespoke Corporate Hampers and Gifts to give out to those who attended two sessions on the day.
Thanks for having us!
